Como ya anunciamos en nuestra anterior publicación, lamono se embarca en una nueva aventura con el objetivo de mostrar en riguroso directo los contenidos que mes a mes ocupan nuestras páginas. La primera convocatoria será mañana viernes 4 de abril y tendrá el circo y el folklore como temas principales.

Cada vez ocurre con más frecuencia. La criatura comienza a caminar por si sola y nos arrastra a nosotros, los que estamos detrás, de la mano. Es lo que ha ocurrido con LAM. Después de cuatro años de trayectoria, nuestros contenidos se han propuesto traspasar la frontera del papel para incentivar la reunión y la convocatoria de forma periódica. Por eso la familia de lamono tendrá cada dos meses una cita en la galería de arte de Barcelona Fashion Dogs, donde nos juntaremos para admirar in situ la obra de los artistas que han protagonizado las páginas de nuestra revista. Las disciplinas serán diversas: ilustración, pintura, collage, fotografía, videoarte, moda y performance, todo tiene cabida. En esta ocasión, los artistas invitados a la inauguración de LAM issue 01/08 son Sergio Mora, Diana Martin, Emil Kozak, Inma Varandela, Berberecho Productions, Zosen, Pancho Tolchinsky, Dylan Martorell y Tony Cox.

Después de la velada inaugural, la noche acabará en Gusto (Francisco Giner, 24), donde seguiremos de tertulia con DJ PATIO a los platos.

Como siempre, esperamos encontraros a todos en el calor de LA(M)family.

Blue Book Group Exhibition UEA

Qanat Al Qasba Hosts Blue Book Exhibition
Unique Art Exhibition Seeks To Promote Intercultural Understanding
Dubai, UAE - March 11, 2008: Qanat Al Qasba inaugurated the Blue Book exhibition yesterday (March 11), which will continue until March 17 from 10am to 10pm at (Maraya Al Qasba). The exhibition that aims at promoting connecting different cultures from around the world through picture books, is yet another unique event held by Sharjah’s premier tourism and cultural destination.



The exhibition was inaugurated by Abdullah Al Owais, General Manager of Department of Culture and Information in Sharjah, Hisham Al Mathloum, Head of Art Directorate, Marwan Al Sakral, CEO of QAQ Development t Authority, and attended by a number of participating artists and art lovers.




The first international illustration exhibition of The Blue Book Group was organised last year by Ali and Hassan Amekan in Tehran, Iran, which was independent from any art society or company. From among the illustrations they received, the works of 31 illustrators have been chosen as members of the group from different countries including Iran, France, Germany, Belgium, Portugal, Hungary, Italy, England, Mexico, Japan and Spain.





Exhibiting over 200 paintings of 31 artists from different countries, the group is on a world tour with Sharjah marked as its second destination point.


The exhibition which will be hence organised every two years in Iran and other countries has been coordinated by Omid Tofighian this year in Sharjah. From Sharjah, the exhibition will travel onwards to Japan.

le bande de Surf.
Ici, le temps et l´espace n´existent pas.
Il n´existe pas un futur ni un passé.
Seulement le présent
comme un espace infini et éternal.
Ici l´on peut trouver
Un espace et un temps à soi,
tu peu trouver ta prope façon
d´habiter le présent.
Depuis cet mirador cosmique
où la seule lumiére c´est l´amour.
N´importe quel temps passé.
Est déjà passé et le futur n´existe pas.

COLORS D´EUROPA

Mañana dia 5 de enero emiten a las 21, 15 pm el programa "Colors d´Europa" en el canal 33.
es un programa especial que narra la historia de Europa a partir de los colores.
Yo colaboré en el programa con unas ilustraciones para un libro manuscrito en torno al cual se construye la historia.



Després de l'èxit de "Colors en sèrie", el 33 presenta "Els colors d'Europa", un programa amb un to narratiu metafòric que busca més aixecar emocions i explicar anècdotes que ser un documental exhaustiu.

Amb aquest objectiu, els autors han fet una llista de valors i conceptes que defineixen Europa i els han donat un color. Així, es parteix del blanc, que és el color de la democràcia. Passen pel marró, que és la geografia, els conreus, el treball, la immigració; el vermell, que és la solidaritat; el groc, que és la imaginació; el taronja, que és la innovació i la modernitat, o el violeta, que és la paritat. També hi ha referències al verd, que és la llibertat, i al negre, que són les guerres i la memòria històrica, fins a arribar finalment al blau, que és el color institucional d'Europa, i al multicolor, que defineix perfectament el lema de la UE: unitat en la diversitat.

'H.C. WONKO HOLIDAY SHOW'

Championing the art of lowbrow for the past few years at its former
Bennett Street location in Buckhead, the Alcove Gallery recently
moved to a larger space that can accommodate events such as this
month's Willy Wonka-themed show.

Featuring works by artists known for subject matter ranging from
zombies to monkeys to wide-eyed women, locals like Dave Cook, Charlie
Owens, Dirk Hays and Bethany Marchman will be joined by national and
international artists such as Barcelona's Sergio Mora and Berlin's
Nastja Holtfreter for this festive holiday show. Aside from each
piece featuring that artist's sugarcoated slant on the Roald Dahl
classic, the entire gallery will be transformed into a chocolate
factory for this weekend's opening party. Dancers from Blast-Off
Burlesque will perform as Oompa girls and local bluegrass outfit the
Floating Coats will provide musical morsels of delight.

Libro disco de Sisa

Un conte que canta i una cançó que conta. Aquest llibre és un homenatge al tema de jaume Sisa "Qualsevol nit pot sortir el sol", una cançó emblemàtica dins la historia de la música catalana. I´l.lustrat pel pintor Sergio Mora, el llibre recull la història i la lletra original de la canÇó d´en jaume Sisa.

Una divertida i delicada edició infantil que vol fer me´mòria de totes les generacions que han crescut amb aquesta música i de les que, de ben segur vindran.

* La edición estaba prevista para las navidades pasadas pero unos problemas técnicos en la editorial han retrasado la publicación. No podemos dar aún una fecha concreta pero si podemos decir que pronto estará en las tiendas.
